Exploring Personal Connection through Dance
Flamenco has rarely felt as charged and alive as it does in the collaboration between Alfonso Losa & Patricia Guerrero. In their US premiere of Alter Ego, the two flamenco masters discover each other through the power of dance. They throw away the traditional rule book to create a new, electrifying alter ego in this captivating duet.
A Beautiful Fusion of Classical and Contemporary Styles
Losa returns to City Center after last year’s festival, bringing with him a balance of classical and contemporary flamenco. Guerrero, known for her fierce power, draws geometric shapes with her movements, often dismantling and recreating them in her own unique style. This performance is a bold exploration of personal connection and flamenco’s artistic boundaries.
The Duet’s Musical Ensemble
The performance will also feature the soulful vocals of Sandra Carrasco and Ismael “El Bola”, as well as the skilled guitar work of Jose Manuel Martinez “El Peli”. Together, they create a vibrant atmosphere that will leave the audience mesmerized.
